We are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator for our Copiague, NY location.

The Project Coordinator will provide direction and coordination for multiple projects of various sizes, from project inception (planning) through the construction phase (including project close-out). The role is critical to ensure all required project documentation is tracked and completed on time. This includes but is not limited to: RFI’s, Submittals, Construction documents, schedule maintenance, meeting minutes, construction documents and reports.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the project schedule and ensure that all key milestone dates are met. Take corrective actions as required to maintain the schedule.
  • Attend project meetings and ensure that issues are addressed timely by the responsible party and track and confirm resolution and produce and distribute detailed meeting information.
  • Receive, review, forward and track status RFI, submittals, estimates, change orders throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Maintain project status spreadsheets.
  • Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Communicate with the project managers to ensure each project is functioning as planned.
  • Organize and prioritize workload, assist Project Managers in identifying project needs/requirements.
  • Request material submittal from subcontractor. Perform a preliminary review to ensure compliance with the construction drawings and specifications.
  • Obtain approvals from architect.
  • Create and maintain submittal binders on site.
  • Manage plans- Ordering, organizing, superseding and distributing drawings and specifications.
  • Create and maintain material procurement schedules.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years’ experience in construction project administration or coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Database and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Sage and Procore preferred.
  • Effective professional written and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, confidentiality, multi-tasking, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and vendors.
  • Respect for details and the ability to execute at a high level with significant independence.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Decision making skills.
