We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter for our Port Chester, NY location.

The Carpenter is needed for commercial renovation fit-outs in Westchester County. Our Carpenters are capable with both wood & metal framing, hanging doors, installing sheet-rock, as well as windows and typical punch-list finish work.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • As directed, builds, repairs and installs such items metal/wood stud framing, drywall/sheet rock, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, building framework, roofs, and trim following verbal or written instructions utilizing the tools of the carpentry trade and following standard carpentry techniques.
  • May be required to work with a variety of materials in addition to wood including but not limited to sheet metal, plastics, aluminum, ceramic tile as well as various types of ceiling materials and paint finishes.
  • May keep inventory and control of the distribution of carpentry tools and equipment and maintain such equipment.
  • As required, may draw rough sketches or prepare plans to scale from verbal or written instructions to accomplish a project.
  • From plans, may recommend to supervisor and order the kind, quantity, and quality of materials to be used.
Qualifications:
  • Possess own hand tools.
  • Qualified candidates should demonstrate excellent intrapersonal skills and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and be able to work with all levels of the organization.
  • OSHA 40 required.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry techniques.
  • Ability to plan, lay out and complete varied carpentry work.
  • Patching and painting ability .
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret building and furniture plans.
  • Ability to use the tools, machines, equipment and materials of the carpentry trade.
  • Ability to perform the physical tasks required of a Carpenter.
