Operations Manager, Flooring

The Flooring Operations Manager is the leader of the back end operations to enforce, monitor, and enhance operational policies and procedures while focusing on data integrity, costing, and job closings in an accurate and timely fashion.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the work flow, through the Project Administrators, to maximize the profitability of all jobs.
  • Support the Project Administrators in maintaining the proposal log, creating/opening new jobs, reviewing contract scope of work, order entry of material, etc.
  • Lead liaison with between internal departments and support team.
  • RFMS data integrity
  • Assist with purchasing in the beginning of the season and monitor inventory as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors to acquire product pricing and/or information about products.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the status of every project under your control.
  • Identify and negotiate time extensions where justified and or allowed.
  • Manage multiple project installation schedule from start to finish.
  • Successfully complete projects to maximize profit and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure that the punch list is completed to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Proactively monitor the progress of the project through updated schedules.
  • Ensure company contractual standards are being met prior to performing work.
  • Demonstrate adherence to and performance in keeping with the goals of company.
  • Close out commission based jobs.
  • Communicate with Accounts Receivable to ensure all billing is occurring in a proficient manner and identify and rectify any challenges in collecting on all receivables.
  • Collaborate with Labor and Logistics team to ensure that labor/subs are properly scheduled.
  • Training, inspecting and developing personnel to reinforce proper utilization of RFMS software is a constant.

  • Experience in the commercial flooring industry
  • Success managing a small team
  • Implementation of new tools and software experience
  • Strong commitment to customer service
